Since its inception, the Helping Hands Network was founded with kids like Kenny Rudin in mind, as he was an integral part of everything we stood for in helping special need adults. It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of his passing at the age of 24. The son of HHN founding member Scott & Debbie Rudin, his smile lit up a room and was beloved by all who came into contact with him. It is with this news that we celebrate his life as we host the 2019 Celebrity Golf Outing and newly formed Game Day featuring Mahjong & Canasta, being held on July 18, 2019, at Twin Orchard Country Club in Long Grove, Illinois.

Last years outing raised over $250,000 allowing us to support Keshet’s GADOL and Adult Residential programs. GADOL is designed to bridge the gap existing in community-based programs serving young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The residential program is designed to allow residents to become fully active members of the community in a warm and caring home that promotes independence and meaningful life.

This golf outing gives you the opportunity to play alongside current & former Chicago sports celebrities and media personalities participating in the fun-filled event. Last year's event included Jeremy Roenick, Dan Hampton, Denis Savard, Alex DeBrincat, Sarah Kustok, Billy Jaffe, Bryan Bickell, Jamal Mayers and so many other celebrities who enhanced the event with their presence.

More than 56 million or about one in every five Americans have some type of disability, according to the Census Bureau. In 2018 the CDC determined that approximately 1 in 59 children is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). In order to accomplish the task of finding resources that enable The Helping Hands Network to execute its mission, the charity and its executive board created the Celebrity Golf Outing and in 2019 a Mahjong & Canasta tournament.

Thank you in advance to our dedicated board of advisors, donors, sponsors and volunteers who continually make this event possible. Together, with your support, we bring the community together and raise funds for this important cause every year.
